How to use this calculator

Choose a start date and an end date. You get the number of days, weeks, completed months and working days (Monday to Friday) between them.

How days are counted

The result is end date − start date, so 1 Jan to 2 Jan is 1 day. To include both the first and last day (for example for a holiday booking that counts days, not nights), add 1.

Working days

Working days count Monday to Friday from the start date up to (but not including) the end date. Public holidays vary by country and are not removed automatically.

Frequently asked questions

Does the count include the end date?

No. The number of days is end minus start — like counting nights in a hotel. Add 1 if you want to include both days.

Are public holidays excluded from working days?

No. Working days counts Monday to Friday only. Subtract holidays in your country yourself.

Can the start date be after the end date?

Yes — the result will be negative.
