How to use this calculator
Enter the price and quantity of two products, using the same unit for both (grams, millilitres or items). You get the price per 100 units and how much cheaper B is than A.
Example
- A: 750 g for 4.50 → 0.600 per 100 g
- B: 1,200 g for 6.20 → 0.517 per 100 g
- B is 13.9% cheaper per gram
Tips
- Convert units first: 1 kg = 1,000 g; 1 L = 1,000 ml.
- Consider waste — a bulk pack that goes off before you use it is not a saving.
Frequently asked questions
How do I compare prices of different sizes?
Divide each price by its quantity to get the price per unit, then compare.
What does a negative saving mean?
Product A is cheaper per unit than B.
Is the bigger pack always cheaper?
No. Special offers on smaller packs can beat bulk sizes — always check the unit price.
